R.I.P to That girl you called a slut in class today. She’s a virgin. The pregnant girl walking down the street. She got raped. The boy you called lame . He has to work every night to support his family. That girl you pushed down the other day. She’s already being abused at home. That girl you called fat. She’s starving… herself. The old man you made fun of cause ugly scars. He fought for our country. The boy you madefun of for crying. His mother is dying. You think you know them . Guess what? You don’t!
I have no idea why He chose me, but
who am I to argue with God?
I love this crazy, tragic, sometimes almost magic, awful, beautiful life.
2011 had its ups and its downs just like every other year. I have experienced joy and friendship and had some incredibly new experiences. I also felt heartache and experienced tragedy like that I’ve never known. But, as horrific as some parts of 2011 were, they are making us stronger. It gives us motivation to close the door on this past year and welcome 2012 with open arms. I cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store for me. I have closed the door on so many things and am thankful to have my God, my church, and my friends to run beside me in to the coming year. So, 2011, I’m not sad to see you go. 2012, bring it on. We’re ready.
“That their hearts may be encouraged, being KNIT TOGETHER IN LOVE, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ.” Colossians 2:2
If all goes well, I will be spending the Summer of 2013 in Greece with some of my closest friends. It’s intimidating and different and terribly expensive, but I could not be more excited.
